Today I met someone like-minded.

Today, I met a fellow atheistic agnostic.

He is a quiet colleague who mostly keeps to himself; lunch seemed headed for its usual underwhelming eventuality when we chanced upon the topic from discussing the t-shirt he was wearing.

He knew exactly what atheistic agnosticism is: the disbelief in the existence of a god but the lack of certainty that there is no god. Which is a convoluted way of saying "don't have but don't know".

But he knew many other things.

His T-shirt at first glance looked like a cheap Bugis Junction product, but actually depicted the Hindu goddess Kali in all her octa-limbed glory. He even knew the story behind Kali.

He knew about the Bahá'í Faith. How many people know this seemingly minor religion that actually is the world widest-spread faith! If I ever were to believe in a god or have a religion, Bahá'í would be it: it posits that Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad et all were divine messangers of the same god, who is personal but inaccessible. That seems un-egoistical and circumspect enough to be able to begin comtemplating embracing it.

To dispassionately discuss comparative religion with another rational being is about the sweetest music to my ears.
